Training network for Next generation cellular Screening (NEXT SCREEN)

NEXTSCREEN

Starting year: 2023

Funded by: MARIE SKŁODOWSKA-CURIE ACTIONS, UE

Reference: HORIZON-MSCA-2022-DN-01-01

Our role:

  • Develop a new fluidic imaging system, using high resolution long working distance microscope objective lenses, integrated with non-diffractive beams for illumination. This will allow capturing high-resolution 3D images on a large field of view, recording hundreds-cells/s.
  • Develop an illuminator based on an optical lantern (patented at ICFO) to generate incoherent light source compatible with light sheet illumination of elastic scattering as a source of contrast mechanism (avoiding shadowing effects typical of coherent illumination)

Data-intensive bioimage analysis for advancing retinal degenerative diseases therapies (Digital Retina).

Starting year: 2022

Funding: MCIN /AEI /10.13039/501100011033 / FEDER, UE

ReferencePID2021-122807OB-C31

Our role:

  • ADVANCED IMAGING FOR VISUALIZING THE FUNCTIONAL CIRCUITRY OF RETINAS. To visualize the complex spatio-temporal electrical patterns propagated in healthy, atrofic and transplanted retinas, we will build a high-resolution fast volumetric imaging system. The microscope will be adapted to contain and properly preserve the retina state.
